tbh just went and browsed GW... wow tbh, looks really really nice, no subs fee, no pve grind, and extremly balanced pvp by the looks of it, more like a game of CS than daoc. thinking of trying this out ... anyone else ?

no subs cost, still gotta buy the game :D but it look like the developers really learned what mythic should have learned from their mistakes.

the max lvl is 20 which can be reached in about 16hrs play aparently. no useless fucking grind :P and there is no zerging from what i can make out, winning at pvp is solely based on skill

You can dl client on www.guildwars.com

No monthly fee but you still need a valid key to play it meaning you must buy the game itself.

Tried an elementalist in beta, UI is bit annoying at start, but rest of game feels fun.

User Interface.

An example: You must setup youre 1 and only 8 button hotbar before you enter a mission/PvP fight. Which is not a bad idea but it takes some time to get used to.

I also disliked some of the window sizes and stuff like that, but allways in new games I cant help comparing to old ones......which is sort of wrong

I think its only a matter of time until custom UI's will be available, usually the way it goes

yikes, and you gotta pick 8 and only 8 of all those before heading into pvp - uber :P

going to pick this up later, a game you dont have to spend hundreds of hours on to compete is enticing

it looks rly good doesnt it ?

ill be trying the main server, as from what i make out the pvp is instant pvp or so ... you start at lvl 20 and with items, so if you have no clue what your doing cause you aint level'd - your fucked or so

You can insta roll lvl20 but you cant use all spells then. Meaning lvl to 20 is better tbh.

As for amount of servers I dont really know tbh, I never picked server but there are 40 or so european "districts". If a district is itself a server or just a instance of the game on same server I have no idea.

So far its confusion all the way tbh :P
